If you’ve seen at Goosetown’s open mic night or Jack White on West Colfax, you’ll know that on any given Denver night, your favorite artist could come out of the rafters to play a surprise set.
On Wednesday night, that’s exactly what the city’s electronic music fans got. Between highly hyped (and sold out) shows by Thundercat at the Bluebird Theater, Reverend Horton Heat at the Larimer Lounge and Noname at Lost Lake Lounge, it was already a big night for Denver’s concert faithful.
But over in Five Points, had two of the night’s biggest artists up its sleeve: Pretty Lights and GRiZ, two massive artists, who casually dropped in on headlining set at the 450-person venue.
According to one show-goer, took the stage around 11 p.m., playing a modular synthesizer and at one point, joining up with rapper Jubee, one of the night’s openers. SuperVision and the Boulder-based joined in soon after, pushing off into a night the room won’t soon forget.
