DENVER—Colorado nonfarm payroll jobs were up again from June to July, up 7,600 jobs over the month before.
The Colorado Department of Labor and Employment said Monday the unemployment rate increased a tenth of a percentage point to 7.1 percent over the same period, compared with the national unemployment rate of 7.4 percent, which went down slightly over the month before.
The department says since the beginning of the year, the average workweek for all employees on private nonfarm payrolls decreased from about 36 to 35 hours and average hourly earnings increased from about $25 to $26.
