GLENWOOD SPRINGS, Colo.—A paraglider is lucky to be alive after crashing halfway up Red Mountain near Glenwood Springs.

The man was placed on a stretcher and taken away in a helicopter on Wednesday.

According to KJCT-TV ( ), the man had to cling to a steep grade of soil before he could be rescued.

There was no word on any injuries.
