COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.—A small plane has crash-landed in a field north of the Colorado Springs airport, injuring two people aboard.
The Colorado Springs Gazette reports ( ) the plane lost power shortly taking off from the airport Wednesday.
Authorities say the injuries were minor but both people were taken to a hospital as a precaution.
Airport officials say their operations weren’t affected.
Officials at Peterson Air Force Base, which is adjacent to the airport, say one gate was closed to keep traffic out of the way of emergency responders, but it has reopened. The officials say no other operations were disrupted.
The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating.
