Why, yes, the Jonas Brothers are still around. Whether or not that’s a good thing depends on your love of the Disney-bred pop trio, who may look a little less sparkly these days next to the dudes in One Direction. Perhaps the brothers’ upcoming album “V,” their fifth studio effort, will change that. Tickets for their Nov. 1 Bellco Theatre show are on sale at 10 a.m. Sept. 14. ($39.50-$79.50, Ticketmaster)
The String Cheese Incident is celebrating New Year’s Eve in a big way with three back-to-back concerts at Broomfield’s 1stBank Center Dec. 28-31, with funk legend Bootsy Colllins and his Funk Unity Band opening for the Colorado jam titans on Dec. 28. Oh, hey there, Journeys shoe-store chain, what’s that you say? You’re making Boulder’s 3OH!3 the headliner on your national “Noise Tour”? Seems like a good fit, given 3OH!3’s Warped Tour-leaning fan base. The jaunt, which also features the Summer Set, Wallpaper and New Beat Fund, stops by Summit Music Hall on Nov. 16. Tickets are on sale at 10 a.m. Sept. 6. ($22-$24, )
Quick: What contains members of STS9, the Motet, Euforquestra, Rose Hill Drive, the Congress, Fox Street Allstars and wants to take you back in time? “Dance Party Time Machine,” a collaboration/show that will feature a variety of booty-shaking hits from the ’60s to the present at Cervantes Masterpiece Ballroom on Sept. 27. If you’ve been hard up lately for live versions of “I Feel Good,” “Dancing Queen” or “Beat It,” take heart, for tickets are already on sale. ($18-$22, )
Hard-hitting electro-pop act Sleigh Bells will see if it’s still got the buzzy momentum of years past when it stops by the Bluebird Theater on Oct. 23. Also announced for the venue: the (by now) stately Northwestern indie chaps Blitzen Trapper, who will play there on Nov. 15. Tickets for both shows are on sale at 10 a.m. Sept. 7. ($15-$30, )
Woe to the music fan who does not at least want to hear what a band called Cosby Sweater sounds like, let alone see it live. That act will open for Chicago electro-rock trio Future Rock at Boulder’s Fox Theatre on Oct. 23, with tickets on sale at noon Sept. 6. ($13-$15, )
