Denver baked under record high temperatures again on Friday.
The temperature at Denver International Airport reached 97 degrees Friday afternoon, breaking the record high of 95 degrees set in 1959. It was the 52nd day the high in Denver reached at least 90 degrees.
The 97-degree mark also matched the highest temperature for the month of September.
To the north, heavy rain caused minor flooding on Colorado 14 near Stove Prairie, the Larimer County Sheriff’s Office reported. Stove Prairie Road was closed north of Stove Prairie Town because of debris.
