A juvenile suspect in the shooting death of a 13-year-old Denver boy has been charged as an adult for the crime.
Denver District Attorney Mitch Morrissey formally charged Lonnie White, 17, Friday with first-degree murder, according to a news release from the district attorney’s office.
Authorities claim White acted with two others in the slaying.
Marquise Lewis, 20, was charged earlier this week with first-degree murder, according to the release.
A third suspect, who is also a minor, remains charged as a juvenile with first-degree murder until a decision is made on seeking a juvenile transfer hearing.
The Denver Post does not name suspects charged as juveniles.
The murder charges stem from the slaying of Reysean Abram, which occurred Aug. 30 at 11:15 p.m. in the 4700 block of Enid Way, according to police
The suspects allegedly opened fire in the area from a moving car after a fight with others at a house party in the 4600 block of Eugene Way earlier in the evening.
Officers found Reysean suffering a gunshot wound when they arrived, police said.
It is unclear if the shooting was gang related. Reysean’s friends said he was not in a gang but did associate with gang members.
Lewis is being held without bond in Denver jail, according to the release.
White and the other suspect remain in a juvenile detention facility where they are also being held without bond, the release states.
