A flood victim who died in Colorado Springs has been identified.
James Nelson Bettner, 47, drowned and his death was accidental, according to the El Paso County Coroner’s Office.
On Monday police and fighters were falled to the 4600 block of Town Center Drive about a body in the west fork of Sand Creek.
Firefighters were able to recover the body from the swollen creek.
Family members have been notified of his death, the city said.
Bettner is among six victims who have been reported to have died in the widespread flooding. .
