A man was shot to death late Friday night in a Colorado Springs residential neighborhood, authorities say.
The El Paso County coroner’s office identified the victim as 20-year-old Logan Treguier.
A suspect, Benjamin Joe Brown III, has been taken into custody and charged with manslaughter.
This was the 25th homicide for Colorado Springs in 2013. Last year at this time, there were 19.
The shooting was reported to police at 11:19 p.m. at 5461 Mosquito Pass Drive, according to a news release by Barbara Miller, spokeswoman for the Colorado Springs Police Department.
Detectives in the department’s violent-crimes unit are collecting evidence and interviewing witnesses, Miller said.
