Recovery rally at Civic Center Park
Advocates for Recovery-Colorado will hold its 12th Annual Recovery Rally Sept. 28 in Civic Center Park. September 2013 is National Recovery Month to celebrate individuals who have achieved long-term recovery from addiction or unhealthy use of alcohol and drugs.
The rally begins Saturday at 10 a.m. with a march at 15th and Market streets along the 16th Street Mall to Civic Center Park. Merlyn Karts, Denver
Thomas Jefferson High School celebrates alumni. Thomas Jefferson High School and the TJ Alumni Association announced the addition of five new members to the TJ Hall of Fame. Inductees include Len Ashford, Carla Stearns, John Stearns, Ken Hughes and Dave Grannell. A reception will be held from 6-8 p.m. Sept. 27 at the Crystal Rose Event Center, 9755 E. Hampden Ave.
