Designers at Lennar Homes have been doing their homework on a new generation’s needs for space, and today they’ll take you out in front of that curve with the grand opening two ‘NextGen’ models: big homes that are designed with a second living suite – each with its own private front door and kitchenette – in Castle Rock and in west Arvada.
Including a big NextGen ranch opening today at Terrain, the master-planned area in Castle Rock that was just named ‘Community of the Year’ for entire Denver area. The ‘Woodbridge’ ranch has three bedrooms and two baths – over 2,500 square feet of finished space – without even counting a second living suite that shows its own entryway off the porch, along with its own kitchen-living area and bedroom/bath suite – perfect for a family that may have a parent moving home. Even in advance of today’s grand openings in Castle Rock and at Leyden Rock in Arvada, Lennar is already finding that the market for these plans is bigger than originally thought, attracting people who may want the extra suite as an office, or for a college kid who have moved back home, or as some kind of getaway retreat – a ‘man cave.’ “NextGen is going to be hot; people are excited by it,” says Lennar’s Gary Frederics, who along with Mary Connelly will show you the new Woodbridge ranch at Terrain. The first buyer, Frederic says, fits the demographic perfectly: They have younger kids who will spread out in the primary home, while grandparents move into the second suite (they’ll be there to keep watch while mom and dad are at work). In Terrain, prices for the ranch start at $424,900, from $434,900 for a roomy Hanford 2-story that has four bedrooms, three-and-a-half baths, not counting the NextGen suite. There’s also plenty to see in lifestyle features at both communities: Terrain with a new elementary school steps from Lennar’s models, along with a big park, designer community pool, and scenic open space; Leyden Rock with a super-popular setting in west Arvada, in easy commuter range to Denver or Boulder, with amenities on the way, including a planned pool and clubhouse. You can find other homes set for early move-in in both areas, including a 3,057-foot Savannah 4-bedroom with 3-car garage in Terrain, ready now at $499,900. Terrain is east of I-25 on Founders/Meadows Parkway, three miles to Rising Sun, and right on Autumn Sage, then left at Desert Ridge Cr. For Leyden Rock, take W. 64th west to Indiana, head north to W. 80th (Leyden Road) and turn west.
