Man locks garage. Jefferson County Sheriff’s deputies went to the 5600 block of West Crestone Mountain Road, unincorporated Jeffco (Littleton), on Sept. 18 when a woman said her husband kept her from leaving by locking the garage door. She thought it was in response to her taking his car keys because he was drinking. The husband was arrested and issued a tampering summons.

Speeder blames kittens. Jeffco deputies on patrol Sept. 20 at C-470 at West Quincy Avenue, unincorporated Jeffco (Littleton)
, stopped a speeding driver. The driver said the two kittens in his car got beneath his feet, causing him to accelerate. He was arrested for reckless driving without a license and displaying a fictitious plate.

Shoplifters busted. On Sept. 20, deputies went to Gordman’s, 8055 W. Bowles Ave., unincorporated Jeffco (Littleton), where the security officer said several women concealed merchandise and left without paying. Two were ticketed.

Inebriated, driver doesn’t notice missing wheel. On Sept. 20, Jeffco deputies went to the corner of South Simms Street and West Cross Avenue, unincorporated Jeffco (Littleton), where a driver had lost a wheel on his car. Officers smelled alcohol and observed an open can of beer in the car. He was arrested and his license revoked.

Hangout spot dismantled. Jeffco deputies on Sept. 20 went to the 10400 block of West Berry Drive,unincorporated Jeffco (Littleton), where three couches, a table, coolers and a street light had been found in a wooded area. The items were removed from what was apparently a teen hangout.
