To serve as productive members of society or leaders in the workforce, people need a broader training that includes the humanities and the social sciences.

That’s why CU Denver/Anschutz Medical Campus Graduate School, in collaboration with multiple departments, has created a free lecture series, the Mini-School for the Humanities.

Building off the very popular Mini STEM School of last winter, faculty from CU Denver/Anschutz Medical Campus will present on topics of the humanities and social sciences. Lecture dates are Wednesday evenings, Oct. 2, 9, 16, 23, 30, Nov. 6, 13, 20 from 7-9 p.m. at the Auraria Campus.

According go to the American Academy of Arts & Sciences, “The ability to adapt and thrive in a changing world is based not only on instruction for specific jobs of today but also on the development of professional flexibility and long-term qualities of mind: inquisitiveness, perceptiveness, the ability to put a received idea to a new purpose, and the capacity to share and build ideas with others.”

The lectures will be understandable to every interested layperson. Those who attend at least six sessions will earn a certificate. Seating is limited and registration is required. Limited FREE parking for registered participants.
