The Denver Cutthroats announced the organization is donating part of its season-ticket sales throughout October to Colorado flood victims.
The Central Hockey League organization will give $25 per for each season ticket sold Oct. 1-31 to nonprofit organizations in Colorado.
“We always try to support the community and knew we needed to do something to help,” president and general manager Ben Rifkin said.
The team is also giving away 1,000 tickets to its preseason home opener Oct. 11 against Rapid City to flood victims through the American Red Cross.
Rifkin added that during the season’s Oct. 18-19, the team will hold a clothing and necessities drive with , a Colorado-based nonprofit. He said other events will likely follow throughout this season and possibly next season.
“We’ll continually look for ways to support these people,” Rifkin said.
