is quickly becoming one of our favorite spots on the Internet. The site has musicians review new albums of other artists with hilarious and sometimes genius results. In July, of Kanye West’s “Yeezus.” Now, the site has tapped ‘s Ezra Koenig of ‘s new album “Nothing Was the Same.”
He liked the album — even though he “didn’t listen to the whole thing” — but more importantly he’s still annoyed about some Danish guy named Hans who blew him off in 2007.
I gotta be honest — I didn’t listen to the whole thing. Obviously, itap good. You think a Canadian child actor would be this successful as a rapper if he wasn’t good? The dude was sitting on 25 mil at age 25! (I would love to see some documentation on that, by the way. I’m not saying he didn’t have 25 mil, I’m just saying some of that was probably real estate and maybe like potential earnings from complicated endorsement deals.) People love him because he’s good! He gets 10 outta 10, OK?
Koenig writes the piece like something off Hipster Runoff, telling the story that includes characters such as the rude Danish guy and Panda Bear from Animal Collective.
He wraps it up by linking to a list of people that never loved Vampire Weekend, which must be short because the link doesn’t go anywhere.
