A Frontier Airlines flight bound for Denver from Washington, D.C. made an emergency landing in Indianapolis International Airport Wednesday night after a sensor indicated a hydraulic problem.
Flight 419, which had 171 people on board, landed without incident at 8 p.m. in Indianapolis, said Kate O’Malley, Frontier Airlines spokeswoman.
“Everyone is safe,” she said.
The flight had departed from Washington at 6 p.m.
Another flight from Indianapolis is expected to bring most of those passengers from the earlier flight to Denver International Airport late Wednesday night, while a few people will be put up in a hotel by the airline and catch the first flight out Thursday, O’Malley said.
Mechanics were still inspecting the plane at 10:20 p.m. It is unclear what the issue may have been.
