Pumpkins in Durango
The final dates of the Durango Pumpkin Patch Express train are Oct. 19 and 20. The 2½- hour excursion includes Peanuts characters Snoopy, Lucy and Charlie Brown, trick-or-treating, hay wagon rides, a pumpkin patch, pumpkin carving and more. Trains depart the Durango station at 10 a.m. and 11:30 a.m., and tickets are $24-$42.
Haunted times in Leadville
The Stapleton Haunted Manor in Leadville is open Oct. 26 and 31 from 6-9 p.m. No reservations are required to visit the historic 1880s carriage house in downtown Leadville. Children 13 and under must be accompanied by an adult.
Manitou Coffin Race
The Emma Crawford Coffin Race and Parade in downtown Manitou Springs is Oct. 26. Fifty teams of five race with a coffin in tow. Races and parade begin at noon.
Golden’s Trick or Treat Train
The Trick or Treat Train at the Colorado Railroad Museum in Golden is Oct. 26 and 27. The train departs every thirty minutes with engineeers in full costume.
