Ally fight. Police were called to the Wal-Mart at 850 E. 88th Ave. on Oct. 6 about two homeless men fighting behind the store. When police arrived, one of the men said the other stole his backpack and ran away. Later, police found the other man and he was arrested.

Simple math. A loss prevention employee at Kohl’s, 12090 Colorado Blvd. called police on Oct. 2 after he caught a woman stealing clothes. The employee watched the woman go into a dressing room with several items, and then exit with none of them. She was given a summons.

Take me to jail. A patrolling officer saw a car veering between lanes near Washington Street and 88th Avenue on Sept. 25. The officer stopped the car and asked the driver to take a roadside sobriety test. The driver said he would rather be arrested. The officer obliged.

Forgotten wallet. Police called a woman who reported that her wallet was stolen from a shopping cart at the King Soopers at 4850 E. 62nd Ave. on Sept. 25. The woman said she left the wallet in the cart while loading groceries into the car.

Garage burglary. A man called police to a detached garage on his property in the 5200 block of East 56th Ave. on Sept. 24 when he noticed a smashed window and several missing power tools. The man said all of the missing items had his initials on them.

Emotional thief. Police were called to the Wal-Mart at 5990 Dahlia St. on Sept. 24 after a woman was caught stuffing items into a purse that was also store merchandise. The woman was hysterically crying and couldn’t talk when police arrived. She was given a summons.
