A man robbed a bank in south Denver on Tuesday morning and fled on foot before jumping into a taxi cab.

The robbery happened about 9:45 a.m. at US Bank, 1100 S. Broadway, according to the Denver Police Department.

The robber said that he was armed, but no weapon was seen, police said. He fled the bank on foot and then got into a taxi.

Police are seeking the robber, who remains at large, the cab and the cabbie.

Investigators want to interview the cab driver, and perhaps process the taxi, for possible clues or leads in the case.

The robber is described as a bald white man in his 50s, about 6-feet, 2-inches tall. He was wearing a shirt with black and white horizontal stripes, blue jeans, tennis shoes and wire-rimmed glasses. He was last seen leaving the bank in a Metro Taxi, .
