Firefighters are investigating the collapse of a four-story building Tuesday night in the Highlands neighborhood.

The Denver Fire Department received a call at 6:58 pm Tuesday from someone who was passing by and saw the collapsed building. No injuries have been reported at the unoccupied historic apartment building at 2727 W. 33rd Ave. The building was under renovation with workers having left hours before the collapse.

A Denver Fire Department spokesman said one fire company was on scene along with a city building engineer and maintenance workers from Xcel energy.

The Denver Post will update this story as more information becomes available.
