Isaac Slade has a touch of twang in his voice on the new song, “Love Don’t Die.” The Denver band shared its new single Tuesday morning, which will be on its upcoming fourth album.

“Love Don’t Die” isn’t the piano driven ballad most Fray fans may be used to. The song has a rough around the edges southern rock feel to it. The production is a touch grimier, and even with the arial backing vocals, it mixes the Fray’s arena alt-rock sound into a dive bar attitude.

The Fray released “Scars & Stories” in 2012, and the fourth album is expected before the end of 2013. Listen to “Love Don’t Die” below:

The band last played in Denver to close the city’s week-long Biennial of the Americas celebration at Civic Center Park.
