BROOMFIELD, Colo.—A Texas man accused of killing his wife in Colorado will be tried a third time.
Two juries have deadlocked on reaching a verdict for Frederick Mueller of San Angelo, most recently last week in suburban Denver. The Denver Post ( ) reports that Mueller will be tried a third time in Broomfield, Colo.
Court records show he is currently facing a second-degree murder charge.
Leslie Mueller drowned near the couple’s vacation home outside Lake City in May 2008. Mueller says she fell over an embankment and into a creek during a hike. Prosecutors say the evidence suggests that she was held down in the water.
