Store robbery. On Oct. 12, Englewood police officers reported to a store at 490 W. Hampden Ave., where a man said another man came into the store when he was cleaning up around the soda area and demanded money. The employee took an unknown amount of cash from the register and gave it to the man. The suspect was not found.

Tamepring with evidence. On Oct. 8, Englewood police officers conducted a traffic stop on a truck with fake temporary plates on the 2900 block of South Fox Street. The man dropped on the floor and crushed a methamphetamine pipe and was arrested for tampering with evidence.

On the run. On Oct. 2, Greenwood Village police officers responded to the 5800 block of Gilpin Court, where a man was attempting to steal a woman’s car. He had allegedly crashed his car into fences at two locations. When officers attempted to apprehend him, he ran and tried to steal two marked police cars. He was Tasered and arrested.

Failing to stop. On Oct. 2, an Englewood police officer stopped a man for failing to stop at South Elati Street and West Layton Avenue. The man was found to be driving under the influence and in possession of cocaine.

Homicide in Englewood. On Sept.22, Englewood police officers responded to the 3600 block of South Sherman Street, where a man was found who had been assaulted and later died of blunt force trauma, at Swedish Medical Center. A suspect was later found, arrested and charged with murder in the first degree.
