CANON CITY, Colo.—The Colorado State Patrol says it is unsure how long two men were trapped in the wreckage of a truck found Thursday in a culvert near Canon City.

The coroner says Ronald Mohr, of Silver Cliff, died of his injuries. Richard Koester, of Westcliffe, was injured. The two men were last seen Oct. 11.

State patrol spokesman Josh Lewis said Friday that details of the accident are still being pieced together.

Capt. Don Pinover of the Fremont County Sheriff’s Office tells the Canon City Daily Record ( ) the men were reported missing by family members after they failed to return from a trip on Oct. 11. Pinover says the crash may have happened days prior to it being discovered by a highway worker on a backhoe.
