Eldora Mountain Resort spokesman Rob Linde announced Friday afternoon that an agreement has been reached with Ignite Adaptive Sports to welcome the group back to its longtime winter home.
That deal came just one day after Ignite announced it had lost the lease it had seen renewed for every season since it began offering ski lessons to the disabled at Eldora in 1975.
Linde would not discuss Friday’s agreement in detail, but said it called for Ignite to utilize its mobile-home-style base of operations for free in the 2013-14 ski season — rather than the usual $1 annual rent.
“We’ve got an agreement,” Linde said. “It took some time to work through it, and we’ve sort of been going back and forth and trying to come up with terms that work for Ignite, which, of course, is a nonprofit, and works for Eldora as a business.
“We have come to some good terms and good resolve for this upcoming season. Most important, the adaptive community will still be well served by Eldora and by Ignite.”
