The interested buyer of Frontier Airlines passed its sale-exclusivity deadline Wednesday evening without announcing whether it was terminating or moving forward with the deal.
Indigo Partners agreed to purchase Frontier from parent Republic Airways Holdings at the end of September on the condition it could successfully negotiate certain commercial agreements with the pilots and flight attendants.
Republic said this week it was extending the Phoenix-based equity firm’s deadline to Wednesday at 7 p.m. EST because Indigo had not yet reached an agreement with the carrier’s flight attendants union and its credit-card issuer Barclays.
