
After a quick post on her family’s liquor-store app last week, Patti Robinson wasn’t that surprised to see a line of people stretching around the block of her Heritage Wine & Liquor store in Centennial by dawn the next day.
Two fellows had driven up from Albuquerque.
“They just got the announcement and got in their car,” said Robinson, whose family has owned Heritage for 39 years.
Pappy Van Winkle’s bourbon is “allocated,” not “distributed,” to liquor stores and restaurants every fall.
“We get calls all year long. We would love to have it on the shelf all the time, but the bottles don’t last long out of the box,” said Jennifer Lyons of Argonaut Wine & Liquor.
