DENVER—Denver police have arrested a man suspected of making threats that prompted St. John’s Episcopal Cathedral in Denver to temporarily close and cancel events.

Authorities say 60-year-old Dominique Richard was arrested early Thursday for investigation of menacing.

Police say the alleged threats were against cathedral staff and a woman. No other details were released.

No phone listing could be found for Richard. Online jail records did not indicate whether he had an attorney.

A notice on the cathedral’s website said the cathedral was closed Thursday and all events were canceled because of an unspecified security concern.
