
Fake connection. On Nov. 9, a Douglas County Sheriff’s deputy responded to the Justice Center lobby, 400 Justice Way, where a man reported someone had used his Social Security number. The person had used it to acquire a connection from a satellite TV company in Wyoming in the amount of $477. The victim had never lived in Wyoming.
You bought me an iPhone. On Nov. 8, a Douglas County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to the 4800 block of Red Rock Drive, where a man reported someone linked his credit card to a PayPal account and bought several iPhones with it. One of them came to his residence and it came from Brookline, Mass.
License plate stolen. On Nov. 7, a Douglas County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to the 10100 block of South Shadow Hill Drive, where a couple reported someone had stolen the license plate off their boat. They dropped off the boat at the Chatfield Marina in July and got it back recently to winterize it.
Laptop stolen from church. On Nov. 7, a Douglas County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to Cherry Hills Community Church, 3900 Grace Blvd., where someone had stolen a laptop from the church. They were able to lock the computer but weren’t able to find it.
Skipped out on cab fare. On Nov. 7, a Douglas County Sheriff’s deputy responded to the 10100 block of Park Meadows Drive, where a man had run away from paying $71 in cab fare. He was not located.
Missing meter. On Nov. 7, a Douglas County Sheriff’s deputy responded to the 10400 block of Ravenswood Way, where a real estate agent said someone stole the electric meter from a house she had just sold.
