WELD COUNTY — Lindsey Mockerman , 20, of Platteville and 18-year-old Tyler Comegys of Ault died Friday from injuries sustained in an auto crash on icy roads in southern Weld County.
The Mazda was eastbound on Weld County Road 22 at about 9 a.m. Thursday morning when Comegys lost control and spun into the westbound lane, according to State Trooper Josh Lewis.
The Mazda was struck in the passenger side by the front of a 2012 Ford pickup driven by James Jaramillo, 34, of Greeley. Jaramillo was not injured. Comegys and Mockerman were taken to North Colorado Medical Center with life-threatening injuries, and both died Friday.
