What appears to be no more than teen high jinks is also considered a serious crime — arson.
Three juveniles bolted from the scene of a small explosion that ignited a fire in Terrace Park at 5:30 a.m. Saturday, Arvada Deputy Chief Gary Creager said.
“Three kids were seen running away,” Creager said. “I’m assuming the juveniles were teenagers.”
No one was injured.
Crime analysts are investigating what kind of accelerant was used in the explosion, Creager said. They’ll perform lab chemical tests.
“We’re trying to identify the three suspects,” he said.
