If you didn’t think was a weirdo before, his Jimmy Kimmel performance with 2 Chainz on Wednesday night will change your mind. After a thrust-filled performance with that left little to the imagination, R.Kelly flaunted his “Black Panties” (both the name of his new album as well as the actual undergarment) all over network television.
Veiled in a sequined Phantom of the Opera-esque mask, Kel-dog promoted his upcoming record with an assortment of new songs. The performance only gets better when a scantily dressed lass enters and drapes herself over R. Kelly’s lap as he “plays” her like a human violin. Well played, R. Kelly, well played. 2 Chainz comes out to assist with a condensed version of “My Story,” and the set ends with “You Deserve Better” in front of a pre-recorded monologue.
The R&B magician’s latest album drops on Dec. 10, and if you’re hesitant to purchase the record, consider that the deluxe version comes with *actual* black panties. So. Problem solved. “Black Panties” is , just in case you can’t wait.
