Woodland Park police are investigating the death of a woman whose body was found at about 10:30 a.m. Saturday outside of a residence in the city.
The woman was identified as 34-year-old Joey Michelle Carlson. The cause of death wasn’t immediately available, but a statement by Woodland Park police said “all unexplained deaths are treated as suspicious until the cause of death has been determined.” An autopsy will be conducted next week, police said.
Carlson was a Woodland Park resident, but the residence where she was found wasn’t hers, the dispatcher said.
