COLORADO SPRINGS — A former football coach at an Academy District 20 high school in Colorado Springs was arrested on suspicion of sexual assault on a child by one in a position of trust, according to a police statement released Monday.
A Colorado Springs police report was initiated by a school resource officer after an allegation of an inappropriate relationship between David R. Kindig, 21, a former Liberty High School assistant football coach, and a student, police said.
Kindig was booked into the El Paso County jail Friday and posted $10,000 bail Saturday, court records show.
