In bike-friendly Chicago, where city crews clear bicycle lanes in the winter with mini-snowplows, a city councilwoman has proposed a $25 annual cycling tax.
Other cities are also considering bicycle taxes to help pay for upkeep of bike lanes and enforcement of traffic rules.
