
Stolen rims. Golden police responded to a phone report Dec. 18 of a theft in which a man said some old, steel tire rims were missing from his front porch in the 16700 block of Golden Hills Road, where they had been sitting next to a trash can. The case is closed pending new leads.
Street signs missing. A city employee contacted Golden police Dec. 13 to report four street signs for Ulysses Street and U.S. 6 and a “Keep Right” sign, along with the poles to which they were attached, had gone missing. There were no leads.
Light road rage. A woman called the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office on Dec. 20 to report a traffic incident in which she was concerned someone was impersonating a deputy. She said she was driving in the left lane on U.S. 285 at Parmalee Gulch Road, Indian Hills, when a black truck cut her off on the right and shined a bright light at her from its rear bumper and turned on a siren.
Drunken disturbance. Jeffco deputies responded to a call Dec. 23 in the 5300 block of Highway 73, Evergreen. Dispatch reported “they are drunk and throwing things at each other.” A woman at the residence reported that she asked her male companion to sleep in his car because he was too intoxicated and wanted to fight. She later awoke to him yelling at her. No injuries were reported. The male continued to yell and was taken to a detox facility.
Mailbox tampering? On Dec. 20, Jeffco deputies went to the 2000 block of Interlocken Drive, Evergreen, where a resident feared that debris found in his mailbox was a sign of tampering.
