LAS VEGAS—The Las Vegas Review-Journal announced Monday that it has a new publisher and its parent company has made other changes to its leadership team.

Stephens Media LLC chief executive Ed Moss was appointed publisher of the Review-Journal, besides his duties as company president and CEO. Former publisher Bob Brown has left the company, the newspaper reported ().

Ed Lasak was named chief operating officer of Stephens Media and the newspaper. Most recently, he worked as senior vice president of finance and director of publishing operations for the Press Enterprise Company in Riverside, Calif.

Mark Ficarra was named chief revenue officer of the Review-Journal and its parent company. Previously, he served as a regional vice president of sales and marketing for the Denver Post and 26 other newspapers for Digital First Media in Colorado, New Mexico and Texas.

“These three executives bring more than 90 years of combined media experience to the company and a track record of success,” Moss said. “All members of this team have been involved with innovative product development and driving improved revenue performance in both print and digital products. They are all industry leaders.”

Stephens Media publishes 11 daily newspapers, including the Review-Journal, as well as 64 weekly newspapers and more than 100 websites in nine states.
