Short on bus fare. Arvada police responded to a disturbance call Dec. 19 in the area of West 58th Avenue and Kipling Street. An RTD driver reported a woman in her 40s boarded the bus with no money for fare. After being told she would have to pay, the woman screamed and spit in the face of the driver before fleeing. No suspect was identified.

Restaurant brawl. Police were called to Denny’s, 7945 Wadsworth Blvd., on Dec. 21 after a heated argument between patrons at adjoining tables led to condiment bottles and punches being thrown. Two suspects incurred cuts to the head. Both were issued trespass notices and one received an additional summons for disorderly conduct.

Wallet nabbed from purse. Police were called to King Soopers, 6350 Sheridan Blvd., on Dec. 21 for theft. A woman reported two suspicious men following her as she shopped. When the victim went to pay for items, she noticed her purse that had been sitting in the cart no longer contained her wallet. Police were unable to obtain security footage, and no suspects were identified.

Bar flirtation leads to assault. On Dec. 24, police were called to the home of an Arvada man, who reported he had been pulled out of his car and assaulted by three men earlier that night after flirting with a bartender at Rockabillies, 12363 W. 64th Ave. No suspects were identified.

Dine and dash. Officers were called to Applebee’s, 5395 Wadsworth Blvd., on Dec. 24 on a report of theft. Employees reported three patrons, ages 18 to 22, left the restaurant before paying a $84.46 bill.
