FORT COLLINS, Colo.—A Fort Collins man has been arrested on vehicular homicide charges stemming from an all-terrain-vehicle crash that killed a woman.
Police say 29-year-old Travis Ackerman was taken into custody late Wednesday.
The crash occurred Nov. 18. Police haven’t released the name of the woman who was killed.
No phone listing could be found for Ackerman, and online jail records didn’t indicate whether he had an attorney.
Police say Ackerman was driving the ATV on a Fort Collins street at about 1:30 a.m. when a police officer pulled alongside and tried to talk with him.
Police say Ackerman sped away, and the ATV rolled, ejecting him and the woman.
Ackerman was injured and hospitalized.
He also faces charges of driving under the influence, eluding police and reckless driving.
