After a cold, cold week here and everywhere else, Standard Pacific Homes can show you a neighborhood that even in midwinter has been hot, hot, hot. It has a view-swept setting that works whether you’re headed into Denver or Boulder; along with a sense of community that, Realtors say, is like no other neighborhood.

And master-planned Anthem shows innovative residential architecture by Standard Pacific Homes that gets buyers right where they live. “People walk into those models and are captivated,” says Realtor Amy Ballain with Coldwell Banker, closing on a home in Anthem Highlands for buyers relocating from New York.

Standard Pacific Homes’ Lookout Village in Anthem Highlands is just up the way from the community’s world-class recreation center that has a private water park – one of 22 parks in Anthem, dotted by lakes and ponds, and spanned by 48 miles of trail. But what lures buyers goes much deeper than its amenities and location.

Anthem has a full-time community director that plans community events – kids’ events and sports, but also gatherings designed to bring in their parents, giving a chance to meet neighbors. “It creates a significant contrast to communities that simply have a pool or trails as their sole amenity feature,” says Dawn Duhamel, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Standard Pacific Homes in Colorado.

Meanwhile, Standard Pacific Homes’ models show a decidedly upscale complement to the quality of Anthem. You’ll see special emphases on the great rooms, designed for ease in dining and socializing in one spacious location; and on home organization via mudrooms, home management centers and project rooms. There’s more natural light and connectivity to the outdoors; along with spa-like master baths; and storage areas created as a priority, with larger kitchen pantries and generous closet space throughout.

“Their homes are the perfect niche,” adds Amy Ballain; “a step up from other builders.” Features include 8-foot solid-core wood front doors; huge island kitchens with slab granite counters and stainless appliances; ‘Cosmo’ fireplace; air conditioning; and 3-car garages.

You’ll tour the models (including a main-floor master) and see three homes ready for move-in from $559,209; one a ranch. “If you want the best choice, you shouldn’t be waiting until after the Super Bowl to come look,” adds Duhamel, noting that the builder is preparing a second series of homes for smaller sites, now forming an interest list.
