Police have arrested a suspect in a
Denver jail records identified the suspect as Clay Baeza-Garcia, 34.
The fatal shooting happened about 4:30 p.m. Sunday in a home near East 36th Avenue and Lafayette Street.
The victim was identified Monday afternoon by the Denver Office of the Medical Examiner as Jose Diaz-Luevano, 67, of Denver.
Diaz-Luevano was pronounced dead at 5 p.m. Sunday at Denver Health Medical Center. He died of a gunshot wound to the chest.
An investigation is ongoing.
