Getting your player ready...
Even on weekdays, D.R. Horton’s two model homes are luring numbers of buyers to Moore Farm, 15 minutes up I-25 from 470 in the small town of Frederick. Some of those lookers are after ranch plans; some are after a value in a large, family-oriented home; but both kinds find common ground in the features of this neighborhood: Bigger home sites, a quieter setting, a sharp-looking pool and clubhouse, and right next door, nine holes of golf at a Frederick resident’s rate from $11.
And both like the value they’re finding on this countrified location, where D.R. Horton models have just opened a few weeks. “You’re going to get a nicer, bigger home here,” said Longmont Realtor Eric Morris, who was touring the new models in Frederick, and who sees a lot of new, north metro area homes. D.R. Horton’s Sue Whittaker says that Frederick mixes rural and newly-urbanized charms. “It’s close enough to Denver that you can get into downtown for sports and dining, but it’s far enough away to have a rural feel,” she added, noting that you can head either north or south on Colorado Boulevard (a few blocks east) and find your choice of supermarkets within two miles. There are St. Vrain Schools nearby. For that family-oriented buyer, D.R. Horton’s grand opening is a chance to see the Lenox big-family plan – over 6,000 square feet of finished space if you go for the option of a basement finish. Of all of the comparably sized homes you’ll tour around town, this one stands out for the quality of its mix of formal and family spaces: thru-views not just from kitchen to family room, but from numbers of angles that show off the openness of the formal dining room and high-ceilinged living room, as well. D.R. Horton has one like it, basement included that will be ready in March – and has three other deliveries that could have you living the country lifestyle soon. You’ll tour a model of the ‘Prestige’ ranch, including its finished basement, and see two quick deliveries of ranch designs, each of them with unfinished basements, but showing day-lighted garden levels that offer terrific possibilities for finish. There’s a ‘Prairie’ with 3-car garage $411,450; and another Prestige, like the model, three-bedrooms plus a study, at $414,260. After you move up here, you’ll likely appreciate that Moore Farm is a little more removed from the Interstate, but on your first visit you’ll need to watch the directions: Take I-25 north past E470, another 11 miles to Exit 235, Hwy 52, then turn right on 52 a mile to Silver Birch. Turn north on Silver Birch three miles to Bella Rosa Pkwy, turn right and watch for D.R. Horton’s flag off Shetland Drive. All distances and measurements are approximate; prices and availabilities are subject to change without notice; D.R. Horton, Inc. is an equal-opportunity builder. WHERE: D.R.
