
Coors Credit compromised. At least two members of Coors Credit Union, 816 Washington Ave., reported to Golden police that they were victims of credit card fraud in late December and early January. One victim’s card was used in New Jersey and the other’s in the Chicago area. Both reported using their card at Target. One report said Coors Credit Union is a also a victim.
Window shot. Golden police went to the 200 block of Orchard St. Jan. 16 after a man reported that his car’s front driver’s-side window was apparently shot by a small-caliber gun sometime between the evening of Jan. 5 and the morning of Jan. 6.
Football field damaged. Jefferson County Sheriff’s deputies received a call Jan. 7 with a report of possible damage to the football field at Conifer High School, 10400 Highway 73. The vice principal said that a black Toyota truck was seen entering the field but surveillance footage was not yet available. Photos were taken of tire and ski tracks in the snow on the field. Snow prevented immediate assessment of the damage. The school gave the name of a suspect.
Dogged confusion. An Evergreen resident called deputies Jan. 7 to report that an unknown neighbor gave her name and contact in a complaint to Animal Control about another neighbor’s dog.
Marijuana “justice.” During a traffic stop in the 26400 block of Conifer Road, Conifer, deputies detected the odor of marijuana in the vehicle of a person under the age of 21. Officers found 5.34 grams of the substance, but “in the interest of justice,” neither party was charged.
