With the help of bearded wonder Chris Stapleton, brought sexy back to the 2015 Country Music Awards. Stapleton had a banner night at the CMAs, taking home the prizes for Best New Artist, Male Vocalist and Best Album of the Year.

It should come as no surprise that Timberlake appeared on stage in Nashville as part of the CMA ceremony. As a native Tennessean, the ex-N*SYNC ringleader’s music lineage is woven with bits and pieces of country flair.
Mutual admiration brought both Timberlake and Stapleton to collaborate on “Tennessee Whiskey.” (Yes, another country song involving booze. Because: country.) The unlikely duo lit up the stage with a velvety, gruff mixture that made an easy case for the best performance of the night.
In typical Justin fashion, the ex-Mouseketeer took things up several notches with a special take of “Drink You Away,” from 2014’s “20/20 Experience.” Say what you will, but the man knows how to read a room.
Look for Stapleton to hit the road in further support of his solo album, “Traveler,” released earlier this year.
