A source told that the Broncos don’t expect to be able to re-sign running back Knowshon Moreno for 2014. Moreno is a free agent after the season.
Moreno ran for 1,308 yards and 10 touchdowns and added 548 yards receiving and three more TDs this season, playing all 16 regular-season games.
He has rushed for 141 yards and one touchdown in two playoff games.
“My future is right now,” Moreno said earlier in the week at a media session. “I don’t live in the future; I live in the present. … I’m thinking about today getting better, throughout the week getting better and on Sunday doing what we can to get the win.”
, the Broncos are projected to be slightly under the estimated $126 million cap for 2014, and Moreno could be one of the casualties.
