FOUNTAIN, Colo.—A Colorado Springs-area high school student has been detained after bringing a weapon to school.

Lewis-Palmer High School in Monument was locked down for about three hours Wednesday morning because of the incident. El Paso County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Lt. Jeff Kramer told The Gazette ( ) that investigators lifted the lockdown after determining no one else was involved.
