A date for the reopening of Red Mountain Pass could be announced Thursday.
Choosing a date will depend on site assessment and weather conditions, according to a news release from the Colorado Department of Transportation.
A massive rock slide on Jan. 12 closed the 200-foot section of U.S. 550 about 2 miles south of Ouray.
CDOT crews have been working ever since to stabilize the area and clear debris.
