GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.—A Fruita junior high teacher accused of asking female students to send him topless photos has resigned.
The Grand Junction Daily Sentinel reports ( ) 58-year-old Randy Majors’ resignation was effective Jan. 31. He had been on paid leave.
Fruita police arrested Majors Dec. 31 on charges of sexual exploitation of a child and attempted sexual exploitation of a child.
No phone number could be found for Majors. He was released on bail and is scheduled to return to court in March.
Police began investigating in November after a woman told police she found a Facebook message from Majors asking her 16-year-old daughter to send nude pictures.
An arrest warrant affidavit alleged Majors exchanged messages with eight girls, including a 17-year-old who sent a picture of herself wearing a tank top.
