On Friday, 82 couples at Loveland Ski Area celebrated Valentine’s Day with a mass wedding.
The 23rd annual Mountaintop Matrimony ceremony was held at noon outside Ptarmigin Roost Cabin at the top of Chair No. 2, the .
After the 30-minute ceremony — held at 12,050 feet — participants and their guests rode down the mountain for a party with cake, music and prizes, including one for best-dressed couple.
Loveland reminded participants: “The wedding will not be rescheduled because of snow or cold.”
Hopefully couples heeded that warning, as white-out conditions prevailed Friday while minister Harry Heilman led the ceremony.
