Boulder fire and police contained a grass fire on Flagstaff Mountain almost an hour after it started Tuesday.
The fire started before 3:30 p.m. in the area of 5th Street, according to a news release from Heidi Prentup, spokeswoman for the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office.
It was contained by 4:30 p.m., according to Prentup.
The fire started on private property.
Flagstaff Mountain Road was closed, but has since reopened.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
